Horst Physical Therapy
Horst Physical Therapy will be promoting injury prevention, balance, and movement health for all ages. Our team will share information about our orthopedic, sports, and pediatric physical therapy services and how physical therapy helps people move better, recover from injury, and stay active. Visitors can participate in our Balance Challenge, a fun way to test stability and learn how balance impacts fall prevention and everyday function. Staff will be available to answer questions and provide guidance on when physical therapy may be helpful.

We will also have information about the community-based services we offer in Benton Co. including Care Coordination, Community Support Program, and Hab programs.
University of Dubuque-Cedar Rapids
The University of Dubuque’s LIFE HyFlex program offers accelerated bachelors and master’s degrees for adult learners. Geared toward the working adult student, this program offers bachelor’s degree majors in accounting, business, marketing, human resource management, criminal justice, and health care administration. The graduate degrees offered are a master of business administration (MBA) or master in management-communication management (MMCM). The MBA is a 36 credit hour (12 course) degree and the MMCM is a 30 credit hour (10 course) degree. Courses can be taken either face-to-face or online with nine sessions offered year-round. Students can begin classes in any session and have the potential to obtain 27 credits in each academic year. A truly accelerated HyFlex degree program, a student has the potential to finish a bachelor’s degree in as few as three years and a master’s degree in as little as 18 months, with transfer students able to finish in less time. Tuition is competitively priced – $330 per bachelor’s degree credit hour and $480 per master’s degree credit hour – and financial aid is available for those who qualify. Virginia Gay Hospital’s Dietary Services team will promote food access, nutrition education, and healthy eating at the Benton County Community Health & Wellness Fair. Staff will distribute HACAP Feeding America food boxes to individuals and families in need. The team will also provide a hands-on “Healthy Plate” activity and brief demonstrations to show how to build balanced meals using everyday foods. Participants will receive practical nutrition tips and simple tools to support healthier choices at home and improve overall wellness for themselves and their families.
Virginia Gay Hospital - Home Health
Virginia Gay Hospital (VGH) Home Health will offer free blood pressure screenings along with one-on-one education focused on heart health, hypertension awareness, and the importance of regular monitoring at home. Our nurses will explain what blood pressure numbers mean, when to follow up with a provider, and will promote VGH Home Health services, including how our team supports patients at home with chronic disease management, medication education, and post-hospital recovery. Education will be provided through interactive discussion during screenings.

We will offer one-on-one guidance and answer questions to help individuals and families connect with local and statewide resources. A brief demonstration of how to use the Quitline and access online support tools will be available, ensuring participants leave with practical steps to seek help or support others in their community.

Five Horizons Health Services
Five Horizons Health Services will promote free, confidential HIV and STD testing, along with education focused on prevention, early detection, and overall sexual health. Our team will provide information on HIV prevention tools such as PrEP and PEP, safer sex practices, and local resources available to support ongoing care. We also plan to offer brief educational demonstrations and one-on-one conversations to help participants better understand testing procedures, reduce stigma, and learn how to protect themselves and their partners. Our goal is to empower the Benton County community with knowledge, access, and support for healthier futures.

HACAP will need 3 tables- 1 for the Food Reservoir/Senior Dining and 2 for the Health Alliance. Health Alliance will offer dental screenings for children entering Kindergarten and 9th grade.

Sara Wattnem, Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator with VGH, will provide one-on-one education and free blood sugar checks for attendees. Sara will also offer brief demonstrations and mini presentations on how nutrition, physical activity, and daily habits can help manage blood sugar levels and reduce the risk of diabetes. Participants will leave with practical tips they can use right away to support long-term health and wellness.
