Chief Ted Paxton and other members of the Vinton Police Department will be offering child safety seat checks at this event as well as having a Student Resource Officer information table. The K-9 Unit will also be making an appearance.

In addition to a variety of FREEBIES you can pick up as you make your way through all of this year's exhibitors, you’ll also receive a punch card when you first enter the fair. Get one punch at every exhibit you visit! Turn in your completed punch card to be entered for drawings based on the number of punches you've gathered. Discover first hand the number of services provided by the Vinton Lutheran Home Communities. They will be joined this year, by Millenium Therapy to help introduce new outpatient therapy services starting early to mid-March.
VGH Respiratory Therapy and Quality Medical AeroCare will demonstrate and provide information on home sleep study, sleep study and CPAP devices. Hands-on display of devices will be available. The results from a home sleep study can rule out sleep apnea and help diagnose other sleep disorders.
Stop by our booth and try samples of soups and snacks using food pantry items! The Benton County Food Pantry, located in Vinton and Belle Plaine, provides food for those in need who meet the Federal Guidelines. We are open every Tuesday from 10-4 and are located in the Benton County Service Center. One of our goals is to provide healthier food choices for our clients. Donations come mainly from within our community and county. Major resources include HACAP, Fareway, Boy Scout Food Drive, Honor Society Food Drive, Girl Scouts, Churches and Business Food Drives, and the Old School Produce Partners.With your assistance, we provide for over 100 families/month.

The Virginia Gay Hospital Family Medical Clinics will be offering FREE BOOKS to kids 6 months to 5 years as part of their Reach Out and Read program while supplies last. More information about the Reach Out Read program is available at www.myvghfoundation.org

Virginia Gay Hospital Therapy Services provide patients with state-of-the-art Physical, Occupational, Speech and Language therapy programs. Stop by and play "Minute to Win It" with our staff! Games will include ring toss, obstacle course, M&M toothpick pickup and more, each designed to test your gross and fine motor skills, breathing techniques, hand/eye coordination, and attention.

DID YOU KNOW FREE Breakfast and Lunch meals are available in Vinton and Shellsburg throughout the summer break? Kids 18 years old and younger are welcome regardless of financial status. Plus you do not have to live within the School District. (Minimal charge for adult meals.) Meet the organizers and learn more about this summer program!

WHAT YOU DON'T SEE
The Above the Influence Wellness Coalition will be setting up a Mock Bedroom - This will allow individuals over the age of 21 to enter a scene staged as a teenagers bedroom. Within that bedroom there will be several items that relate to substance use and other harmful behavior that a teenager is involved with. This mock bedroom gives parents/guardians the opportunity to see how many things they recognize and education on what to look for in their child's possession.
The Pink Heals fire truck and police car will be on display! Pink Heals volunteers take these pink vehicles on home visits to those in need. They partner with businesses to provide visit recipients with donated goods, gift cards and services. The color pink is used to represent love and care rather than to signify a specific disease. Pink Heals is about more than just breast cancer. It is about all illnesses and needs within our communities.
